A daydream is hard to describe. An obvious interpretation of it is a dream in the daytime but, what if it is more? To me it is a constructed image of desire. Daydreams are the things we aspire to, the aspirations and scenarios we hope to fill. A dream where we pull the strings and call the shots. And while fantasies aren't always translated into parallel reality they do coincide with some things. They show our character, they reflect our passions, goals, and the people we truly want to become. Being a dreamer myself I often reflect on my own time spent lost in thought. While these shouts of imagination seem to pass in an instant, they are full of love. They hold the families that are still to be formed, the careers we ponder, the friendships we want to endure, and reunions put on hold. So next time your face goes blank, and your mind goes to a future family holiday that sits a decade in the future, take hold of that and make it yours. Even if you're the only observer, even if it is imagination, take heart in the fact that it's yours." And who’s to say this isn’t what happens? Who can tell me that my fantasies won’t come true… just this once?" - J.D. (Zach Braff)
